Abby Snider was 14 years old when doctors told her something nobody ever wants to hear: She had been diagnosed with leukemia.
After her diagnosis, the teen spent months in and out of hospitals fighting the cancer. Too sick to even celebrate her 15th birthday, Snider kept her heart strong and was determined to celebrate her 16th birthday in style. With medical bills stacking up, it looked like a pipe dream.
That's when something incredible happened.
The night of her birthday, Snider thought she was going to give a speech to help raise money for a local children's cancer charity. In truth, the community had come together and helped her parents throw her a surprise "Sweet 16" birthday party fit for a princess.
